Andrew Marr’s insights as events from the Tory conference unfolded were absolutely fascinating, almost dramatic, as he led us through a captivating discussion on the possible outcomes of the country’s leadership, the Brexit negotiations, and Europe’s future.
The House of Commons
The end of an era and the beginning of something new.
We had the wonderful opportunity to thank Chris Hoskins, the Founder of Ellipsis for his extraordinary 27 years in the business at an inspiring event held at Diageo’s exclusive Golden Square Bar.
Our last event took place at the Ivy in October last year and was a fantastic success. We welcomed Martin Glen as our speaker – the current CEO of the FA who has previously been CEO of companies such as Pepisco and United Biscuits. Read more to view key insights that over the years, Martin found to help to successfully Change Behaviours.
Sharing his insight on what makes consumers change behaviours.
Phil Barden spent 25 years of his life working in Unilever, Diageo and T-Mobile trying to influence consumer behaviour in favour of his brands and products.
“I found the evening interesting and stimulating and clearly recall the Dove skin care / hair care example of how psychology plays a massive part of consumer choice, and therefore advertiser’s approach. The food and company were very complimentary to the ambiance and I'm looking forward to the event at the Ivy.”
“The informality of the Changing Behaviours: Hibiscus evening was great. The roundtable discussion with everyone sharing their knowledge and experiences was stimulating. I think we all learnt something on a personal or work level that we could take back and use within our varied roles and sectors.”
“I loved the evening. It’s a really good opportunity to speak to other people in the industry, other marketing professionals who share the same sort of ideas, ideals, knowledge and information which is really great.”
“This is an example of an agency doing a great thing. Bringing people together to have a conversation about something, Changing Behaviours in this case. That’s really important in industry and for business leaders whether you’re in a big company or a small company.”
“A very, very useful evening. One of the things I like about the way CI Group do it is the format. It’s formal and informal at the same time so it gives you the chance to take that shield away and actually be a little more open with people and they’re more open with you.”
“I think having a person speak who’s inspirational and talks about vision, talks about values, about how you can change or work towards a future within your business is definitely a great asset for those evenings but also the people you’re sat with. I’ve met some great people around my table who I wouldn’t have met before so different walks of life, different businesses – digital, technology, FMCG or privately owned. Great different networks.”
“I really enjoyed it this evening it was a very inspiring evening. Martin asked a lot of questions and made me think about the things I do in marketing. I think he particularly talked about culture which is a very important thing and I’m already thinking about how I’m going to apply that tomorrow when I go back to the office.”
